The Fine Print
The contest is open to all participants age 18 and older regardless of residence or citizenship, so long as the laws of their jurisdiction allow participation. Photo submissions must be uploaded by 11:59 pm Pacific Standard Time on December 31, 2009. You retain ownership and full rights to all images submitted, but grant us the right to use your images in support of the Conservancy's mission.
WINNING PHOTOS: The judging panel will select at least 20 photos to be the contest’s Finalists and Honorable Mentions. The general public will select the Grand Prize Winner during the "Voter's Choice Awards," from a pool of Finalists determined by the judging panel.

It seems easy any more for companies to throw the word energy on a product. I mean all they have to do is put it on there. Then after that they add in the usual ingredients and long and behold you have another energy product on the market. Energy chews have been sweeping the nation right now and I have had my fair share by now. The latest energy chew I am going to review is the newest one I just recently tasted, all five of them.
Atomic Energy Bites are pretty damn good. I was a little bit weary at first with the name and packaging, mainly since I just had a few other energy chews that had a similar name and packing like this. By now I should know packaging isn’t the only thing when it comes to energy products.
Here is a little breakdown on each of the flavors Atomic Energy Bites have to offer.
Lemon Lime - it tastes like an overpowering key lime pie. The lemon flavor is a bit too much at times but as I popped open another chew and threw it in my mouth I had an overall key lime taste. When the flavor gets use to your taste buds its all good.
Cinnabomb - a hot cinnamon taste that is sure to please anyone who loves candy style cinnamon flavoring. This flavor is one of my favorite, it is that damn good.
Fruit Punch - almost tastes like Hawaiian Punch to me. Towards the end of these chew I could taste some sweetner but it was still nothing to worry about because of the classic beverage flavoring.
Orange Raspberry - orange juice with a splash of raspberry. This chew reminds me of an energy drink I’ve had before but I can not quite put my finger on it at this time. Still it is fantastic.
Mocha Crunch - hands down my favorite chew from Atomic Energy. I love coffee and this flavor gives me the best of both worlds. It just tastes so damn wonderful, I am actually chewing one as we speak.
A pack of three chews equals so many cans of soda, cups of coffee, and an energy drink. We have heard this story before and I have had some products that just don’t deliver like they should. All of the Atomic Energy Bites have the goods (usual ingredients) so you know this is an energy product that will work.
When I first tried about half of the chews (Lemon Lime and Fruit Punch) I didn’t get the best energy boost as I was hoping. After an hour or so I could feel myself acting a little normal, like I did before I even had the chews. There is still hope with these chews as the Cinnabomb, Orange Raspberry, and Mocha Crunch flavors gave me a good five hour boost. Much better, yummy.
I should add though I never got tired after my boost of energy was gone. When the show was over I was back to normal and there was no sleep in my schedule.
Final Verdict
Atomic Energy Bites are pretty…pretty…pretty tasty. I was worried at first with the packaging and name but that worrying was over when I had my first package of chews. Fans of energy chews need to pick up all of the flavors now. Coffee lovers need to buy a years worth of my favorite flavor, Mocha Crunch.

When I had the opportunity to receive some Atomic Energy Bites free to review, I was at first a little hesitant. My history with energy chews, while brief, hasn't been the best. I've only reviewed one other energy chew, and that was Buzz Bites Chocolate, and we all know how they turned out(2.7/5). Will Atomic Energy Bites turn out better than Buzz Bites Chocolate, or will it end up being a bitter old man?A month ago, I wasn’t really aware of the existence of energy chews on the market.
I knew about energized mints, gum, chocolate pieces, candy bars, and even potato chips. Now all the sudden my mailbox has been ambushed by two different energy chews in a few weeks time.
Since Hydrive Energy Chews were the first energy chews I’ve ever had, let’s see how these brand new Atomic Energy Bites compare!
Opening up my first package of Atomic Energy Bites, my taste buds took a defensive stance, bracing themselves for an assault. As soon as the first chew entered my mouth, before it even hit my tongue, my tension unwound. It became immediately apparent that these chews kick some serious ass! With my first package I forgot to even pay attention to the energy effect. Make no mistake; these chews are a premium candy treat. They’re a whole level above what Hydrive has to offer. So seriously, I’m not being lazy with the flavor comparisons. This is literally what the flavors taste like, they’re astonishingly identifiable.
Every 3 bites will deliver 100mg of caffeine, 25mg of guarana, and a few hundred percent of your B values to your system well under the radar. You can purchase Atomic Energy Bites in packages of 3 or 6.
We’ve got a little life lesson here: it’s nearly impossible to have the best of everything. There’s always a negative somewhere to accompany every positive. These bites just don’t quite cut it for me, even when I gobble up the larger 6 pack. Maybe if you’re a caffeine lightweight you’ll be happy with them.
So in this informal energy chew dual, Atomic Energy Bites destroy Hydrive Energy Chews in the taste department, while Hydrive Energy Chews offer energy that the Atomic Energy Bites just can’t keep up with. Now go forth and be an informed consumer.
